Dr. Carroll Golden – Interim Pastor

Pastor Golden has served in the Knoxville area and as a missionary in Mexico and Costa Rica. He believes that the church is the body of Christ and as such must proclaim the Word of God, minister to individuals and families, and participate in reaching the world with the Gospel message.

Jeremy‘s passion and love for students has served as his driving force in ministry for over 11 years. Prior to RHBC, Jeremy served as student pastor at Buffalo Baptist in Rutledge TN, First Baptist Church in St. Mary’s GA, and Montvue Baptist in Morristown, TN.  God has blessed Jeremy with a wonderful wife, Susie, and two beautiful children, Emily and Ethan and another child on the way.  Jeremy is a graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. degree in religion, and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's in Biblical Studies.  His life verse comes from John 16:33,” I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world".  Outside of ministry, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family and watching Tennessee football and basketball.  His hobbies include: soccer, biking, hiking, and ATV riding.  Favorite quote comes from Albert Einstein, “You cannot continue doing the same thing and expect different results.”

Jillian is thrilled to begin her service in full-time ministry at RHBC! She has a deep love for children and believes each child is unique and precious creation of God. Jillian was blessed to serve for several years as a volunteer leader in the children’s ministries of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in her hometown of Loudon, TN.  She is a graduate of Maryville College, and she served as a Volunteer Coordinator in the AmeriCorps program before following God’s leadership into full-time ministry.  Jillian is excited to have the opportunity to reach out to the children of RHBC and the Rocky Hill community, show them God’s love by example, and help them discover His plan for their lives. She loves any opportunity to becreative, and enjoys singing, writing, photography, acting, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends. Jillian is blessed to have the close support of her parents, grandparents, and home church…and she feels especially blessed to now be a part of the Rocky Hill church family!

Steven grew up in Altoona, PA before coming to Knoxville, TN.  He is a graduate of Johnson Bible College. His passions include spending time with his wife, Ashley, and daughter, Cali,  singing, playing, and writing music, and serving others in the name of Christ.
